After a scoreless first half, Liberty (7-9-1) took a 1-0 lead on defender Jesse Barrington's goal at the 56-minute mark. James Wright made it 2-0 three minutes later, scoring his school-record 35th career goal. Forward Joel Johnson made it 3-0 in the 80th minute.
Radford's Ian Spooner, the second-leading scorer in the Big South with 16 goals and four assists, spoiled Liberty goalie Joe Larson's shutout bid by scoring with a minute left.
The Highlanders, who close their season Nov.10 in Blacksburg against archrival Virginia Tech, outshot the Flames 20-12.
Liberty will face Winthrop in today's semifinal round. Top-seeded UNC Greensboro will meet either Coastal Carolina or Charleston Southern in the other semifinal.

In Charlottesville, Hylton runners took four of the first six places as the Bulldogs ran away from the field in the Northwest Region girls' cross country meet.
Hylton finished with 21 points to easily outdistance runner-up Woodbridge (75 points) and host Albemarle (102). Stacy Carpenter led the way with a first-place finish in a time of 19 minutes, 23 seconds. Jennifer Rotramel of Cave Spring was the top Timesland runner, finishing 22nd in 21:37. Franklin County (318) was 11th.
Mark Rumple of Brook Point won the boys' title with a time of 16:19, but Woodbridge captured the team title with 59 points. Gar-Field (94) edged Potomac (99) for second place. Franklin County's David Angell was the top Timesland runner, finishing 12th in 17:14. Cave Spring was 10th, Franklin County 11th and Patrick Henry 12th in the team competition.
Radford University is the choice again to win the Big South Conference women's basketball title in voting by the league's coaches.
Nicole Gardner is a preseason all-conference pick for the Highlanders, who are coming off their first NCAA Tournament appearance and seeking their sixth consecutive league title. Radford was followed in the poll by UNC Greensboro, UNC Asheville, Maryland-Baltimore County, Towson State, Liberty, Coastal Carolina, Charleston Southern and Winthrop.
Radford's men were picked to finish fifth, as they were last season, when coach Ron Bradley's squad went 20-8 and placed third in the Big South. UNC Greensboro was the top choice of the men's coaches, followed by Towson State, Liberty, Charleston Southern, Radford, UMBC, UNC Asheville, Coastal Carolina and Winthrop.
Three Radford University players - senior back Amy Dolan, senior midfielder Tina Ferenschak and sophomore midfielder Holly Osmond - were named to the second-team All-Colonial Athletic Association field hockey team.
WJPR/WFXR (Channels 21/27) in Lynchburg and Roanoke will carry highlights of tonight's Salem at Cave Spring football game on Sunday.
The Fox station switched from coverage plans that called for taped highlights of GW-Danville's game at Heritage. The hour-long replay of the Salem-Cave Spring non-district game can be seen starting at 8 a.m. Sunday.
The station also announced the Salem-Northside clash for the Blue Ridge District title on Nov.12 will be carried as the final regular-season game of taped high school highlights on Nov.14.
Defending champion North Carolina is the top seed for the ACC field hockey championship, which runs today through Sunday in Charlottesville. Second-ranked Carolina has won nine of 10 ACC Tournaments, losing only to Maryland in double overtime in 1992.
Virginia will hold the first of two men's basketball exhibitions when it plays host to Court Authority at 7 p.m. today at University Hall.
The Cavaliers will meet the Polish National Team at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, before opening the regular season Nov.16 against Old Dominion in the Preseason National Invitation Tournament.
