CHRISTIANSBURG - Christiansburg High School has scheduled hours for parent-teacher conferences to accommodate working parents. Monday, Nov. 7, teachers are available from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for appointments with parents. Tuesday, Nov. 8, students are off for a teacher work day, and conference times are 7:30-11:30 a.m. For an appointment, call 382-5178.

Arts and crafts

PEMBROKE - The Eastern-Giles Fall Arts and Crafts Festival will be held Saturday, Nov. 19, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., at the Eastern Elementary School, on U.S. 460.

There will many craft items and lots of food. The event is sponsored by the Pembroke Montage Association.
