DUBLIN RECYCLING

The town of Dublin is changing is schedule for picking up newspapers at curbside for recycling.

Starting today, newspapers will be collected once a month on the first Friday townwide, rather than on a staggered schedule in different neighborhoods.

Newspapers should be placed by the curb on those mornings for afternoon collection, when conditions are dry. They must be bundled and tied with string or twine and not put in bags of any kind.

Some 1,200 pounds of newspapers have been recycled since the town started picking them up in September.

``Citizens who participate support efforts to conserve natural resources,'' said Town Manager Gary Elander. ``The town of Dublin appreciates your interest and participation.''
