The Bulldogs shook off a 12-turnover first quarter performance to put the game away in the second and third quarters. Martinsville was led by Treceda Holland and Erica Brandon, each of whom had 18 points. Sam Ferguson and Jamie Ferrington each tossed in 11 points. Ferguson added 10 assists and Ferrington grabbed a season high 14 rebounds.
The Cavaliers were led by Natash Harriston's 12 points.
Magna Vista 54, Gretna 41: At Gretna, Magna Vista overcame early foul trouble to build an 11 point lead after three quarters and finish off Gretna 54-41 in Piedmont District play.
Tanescia Kellam led the Warriors (14-7, 11-7) with 14 points and Kathleen Speakman added 10.
Cherita Dews led all scorers as she tossed in 20 points for Gretna (6-15, 5-13).
Chilhowie 56, Rural Retreat 49: At Chilhowie, the Warriors' Emily Dungan poured in 32 points to go over 1,000 for her career, pulled down 15 rebounds, and added four steals in the Hogoheegee District victory.
Fort Chiswell 56, Bland 33:At Bland, Jenny Porter scored 17 points as the Pioneers (7-13 overall, 6-4 in the district) won their fourth straight Mountain Empire District girls' basketball game. Bland (0-18, 0-10) was paced by Shannon Enoch with 14 in the regular season finale for both teams.
Laurel Park 64, Patrick County 63: At Stuart, Laurel Park pulled a Piedmont District upset behind Brandy Martin and Toy Perkins, who scored 16 points each. Patrick County was paced by Amy Nelson with 16.
