In Franklin County's quiet race for the commissioner of revenue, voters overwhelmingly sided with the experience of incumbent Joyce Fuller, who ran as an independent.
She defeated her opponent, Democrat Raymond Albanowski, in a landslide victory in Tuesday's special election.
Fuller, who campaigned on her experience, has worked in the commissioner's office for 27 years - 17 of them as deputy commissioner.
The position, which Fuller filled when Ben Pinckard retired in February, will be up for election again next year.
Fuller and Albanowski were unavailable for comment. Neither has said if he or she will run again in November 1995.
