Dibrell Brothers Inc., Danville tobacco processor and importer of fresh flowers, reported a net loss of $1.3 million, equal to 10 cents per share, on sales of $179.8 million for its first quarter ended Sept. 30. That compared with year-earlier net income of $4.3 million, or 32 cents per share, on sales of $173.7 million.
Rally's Hamburgers
Rally's Hamburgers Inc., Louisville, Ky., fast-food chain with operations in the Roanoke Valley, reported a net loss of $4.5 million, equal to 34 cents per share, on revenues of $54.6 million for its third quarter ended Oct. 2, compared with year-earlier loss of $2.9 million, equal to 22 cents per share, on revenues of $46.9 million. For the nine months, the net loss was $7.3 million, equal to 56 cents per share, on revenues of $149.5 million, compared with year-earlier net income of $1.1 million, or 9 cents per share, on revenues of $129.2 million.
