ANDERSON, French Gilbert, 72, of Fries, passed away Thursday, November 10, 1994. Arrangements by Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence.

BLEVINS, Nathaniel (``Than""), 78, formerly of Pembroke, Va., died near his home in West Jefferson, N.C., on Wednesday, November 9, 1994. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth. Surviving are three sons, Cliff and Kenny Blevins, West Chester, Pa., and Billy Blevins of the home; four grandchildren; three brothers, Larry Blevins, Pembroke, Bill Blevins, Ripplemead, Paul Blevins, Tavares, Fla.; a sister, Nan B. Poff, Pembroke. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at Badger Funeral Home in West Jefferson, N.C.

BLUE, Willie Carden, died Sunday, November 6, 1994, in Tuscon, Arizona where she lived for the past year with her son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Beatrice Blue. She was the daughter of the late James S. and Emma J. Carden of Parrott, Va. Mrs. Blue was a long-time resident of Radford, Va. and an active member of the West Radford Church of God. She has worked as a practical nurse at various nursing homes in the New River Valley. Mrs. Blue was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Blue and one son, Robert Blue. She is survived by one son, Samuel Blue of Tuscon, Arizona; two daug hters, Mrs. Ruth Callahan of Radford and Mrs. Retha Wohlford of Blacksburg; three sisters, Mrs. Zelma McGinnis of Parrott, Mrs. Rose Dagenhart of Martinsville and Mrs. Euvalee McGinnis of Williamson, W.Va.; two brothers, Paul Carden of Christiansburg and Alfred Carden of Dublin. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 11, 1994, at 3 p.m. from the West Radford Church of God with Pastor John Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford.

HAWKS, Hazel Marie Benton, 80, of Route 3, Galax, died Thursday morning, November 10, 1994, in the Forsythe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Andrew Hawks and by a daughter, Karen Hawks Gunter of Fries. Surviving are a daughter, Debra Hawks Wenzel of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a son, Harry Brian Hawks of Salem; sisters, Evelyn Mathias of Michigan City, Ind., Vada Scafidi of Bend, Ore. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Coal Creek Community Church with burial to follow in the Coal Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 until 9 at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. HOLDREN, Wanda Loraine Graham, 65, of Vinton, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 1994. She was the widow of Henry E. Holdren, Jr. Survivors include two sons, Robert E. (Bob) Holdren, Pompano Beach, Fla., and Terry L. Holdren, Vinton, one daughter, Trudy H. Kessler, Vinton; three brothers, Jackie Graham, L. G. Graham, and Gale Graham, all of Roanoke; two sisters, Dorothy G. Stevens, Roanoke, Jean G. Altizer, Williamsburg; also four grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren. LEECH, Ella W. Arehart, 93, of Mount Joy, Pa., formerly of Lexington, Va. died Wednesday, November 10, 1994, at the Leader Nursing Center, where she had live since March. Born Oct. 1, 1901, in Fairfield, she was the daughter of the late Charles Howard and Carlena Mitchell Arehart. Mrs. Leech was a Member of Lexington Presby. Church, and was the widow of Samuel ``Monk'' Leech who died in 1936. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Leon W. Graham of Mount Joy, Pa. and six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Mary Buchanan and Carrie D. Aldridge both of Lexington. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 12, 1994, at 2 p.m. from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Dr. Richard M. Webster officiating. Burial will follow in Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. LEWIS, Evelyn J., 73, of Wheatland Hills Retirement Center in Radford, formerly of Roanoke, died Monday, November 7, 1994, at Pulaski Community Hospital. She was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church in Roanoke. She was a lifetime member of The American Rose Society and the Roanoke Rose Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. (Pete) Lewis, and a brother, John W. Ferrell Jr., and her father, John W. Ferrell. She is survived by a daughter, Alma N. Holmgren of Christiansburg. Her Mother, Stella M. Ferrell of Radford. A Sister, Alma F. Shelburne of Radford. Also survived by two grandchildren, John Holmgren and Judith Graham. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 1994, at 11 a.m. from the Sherwood Memorial Park Abbey in Salem with Pastor Albin P. Crutchfield officiating. MEYERS, William Graham, ``Bill"", 65 of 145 Brantley Avenue, Mooresville, N.C., died Wednesday, November 9, 1994, in the Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, N.C. He was born June 19, 1929 in Lubbock, Texas to the late Jacob Sa muel Meyers and Maude Graham Meyers. Mr. Meyers was a retired self-employed owner/operator of a tractor trailer truck. He was a Korean War veteran having served in the U.S. Air force. Mr. Meyers was a member of Lakeside Fellowship, Mooresville. He was a member of Revolution Masonic Lodge #552 A.F. & A.M., Greensboro, N.C., and also a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason and member of the Oasis Shrine Temple, Charlotte, N.C. He was a licensed HAM radio operator. Mr. Meyers was a former resident of Greensboro, where he lived for 20 years. He had lived in Mooresville for 15 years. He is survived by his spouse, Mrs. Betty Workman Meyers, whom he married July 9, 1995, of the home; two sons, David Meyers, Mooresville, N.C., Daniel Meyers, Lake Norman, N.C.; two grandchildren, Khristin Meyers and Amy Wooten; one brother, J.S. Meyers Jr., Roanoke; one sister, Mrs. Frances M. Harman, King George. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 1994 in Cavin Funeral Home Chapel, Mooresville, N.C. with the Rev. Robert J. Hamilton officiating. Interment will be in Glenwood Memorial Park. MUSICK, Jack Donald, 67, of Bastian, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 9, 1994, in a Bluefield Hospital. He was born in Buchanan County, Va. a son of the late Willie and Elizabeth Musick and was preceded in death by four brothers. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Morgan Musick, Bastian, Va.; a daughter, Marlene Slaughter, Bastian, Va.; two sons, Tommy Musick and Donald Musick both of Bastian, Va.; six grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Carroll, Morristown, Tenn., Helen Duty, Bee, Va.; five brothers, Dowyer Musick, Denford Musick, Glenn Musick, Conward Musick, Delmer Musick all of Morristown, Tenn. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Bastian Church of God with the Rev. James Beaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Musick Family Cemetery, Bastian, Va. NAPIER, James C., 74, of Vinton, died Wednesday, November 9, 1994. He was retired from the United States Navy with 21 years service and also from the Roanoke County School Board. He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Vinton Lodge No. 204 A.F. & A.M., VFW Post 4522 of Vinton and the Fleet Reserve. Surviving are his wife, Margie Z. Napier; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bill and Susan Napier, Wayne Napier; two grandchildren, Bradley and Danielle Napier, all of Vinton; two sisters, Maxie Brambley, Ellen Baker; five brothers, Curtis, Bradley, Ralph, Larry and Jackie Merle Napier. Funeral services will be conducted form Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 1994, with the Rev. Dr. Harold J. Uhl officiating. Burial will be in Glade Creek Cemetery. OSBORNE, Lillie Mae, 66, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, November 9, 1994. She was preceded in death by her husband, Conley G. Osborne Jr. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Boyce Ray and Sara Osborne, Eddy Ray and Karen K. Osborne; daughters and son-in-law, Sherry Phillips, Myra and Tommy Mathis; grandchildren, Heather, Carman and husband, Mark, Timmy, Lance, Nikki, and Avery; great-grandson, Zachary; daughter-in-law, Karen Sue Osborne; a nephew, Danny Altice. PENNINGTON, Orcal C., 78, of Christiansburg, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 9, 1994. Mrs. Pennington was born at Basin, West Va. on June 6, 1916, a daughter of the late Alonzo Waymon and Bessie Pearl Shrewsberry Cunningham. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Claudine Pennington. Survivors include her husband, Carlyle Pennington; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanene and Phillip Compton, Dublin, and Dianna and Barry Epperly, Christiansburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Gale and Ann Pennington, Pearisburg; two sisters, Ferrell Hicks, Princeton, West Va., and Glenna Cole, Speedway, West Va.; four granddaughters, Robin Williams, Dawn Davis, Shan-na Davis, and Corissa Epperly; four grandsons, Patrick Pennington, Phillip Pennington, Benjamin Pennington and Caleb Epperly; two great-grandchildren, Coty and Katraina Pennington; three stepgrandchildren, Regina Compton, Lisa Compton, and Holly Compton. PRICE, Clara Bell, 70, of Willis, passed away Monday, November 7, 1994 at her home. Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Lorraine Price, Copper Hill, Wilbert and Elsie Price, Willis; sister-in-law, Mary Price, Christiansburg; several nieces and nephews. He was born April 24, 1929 at Bearspring, Va., the son of the late Tracy Steward Stafford Sr. and Mamie Ellen Mustard Stafford. WEBB, Reba Atkinson, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday afternoon, November 9, 1994. She was a member of Melrose Baptist Church, a volunteer for over 20 years with the League of Older Americans (for which the Civitan Club presented her with the 1986 Good Samaritan Award for her work in the Diners Club Program), an active participant in the RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) of the League of Older Americans, and a member of the Roanoke Valley Democratic Women's Club. Mrs. Webb was a loving and ded icated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, who recently assisted in the care of Ruby Bryant, a sister who passed away July 27, 1994. Surviving are her husband, Prentiss A. Webb; a daughter and son-in-law, Winona W. and David R. Bishop, Blue Ridge; two grandsons, Edgar W. Moore, William W. Schlueter, both of Roanoke; a great-granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Moore, Roanoke; two sisters, Ethel Johnson, Christiansburg, Beatrice Harrison, Roanoke; and a number of nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday from Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. James V. DeFoe officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
