CATTLE RUSTLER FACES 10 YEARS IN PRISON

A man convicted of cattle rustling in Botetourt County faces 10 years in prison.

Ricky Ray Bradley pleaded guilty in Circuit Court to 10 counts of grand larceny. He was sentenced to a total of 20 years, but half of that sentence was suspended under a plea agreement.

Bradley admitted stealing 56 head of cattle from a farm in Botetourt County last fall. Commonwealth's Attorney Rob Hagan said the cattle were valued at $14,950.

Bradley sold the cattle to two men who later sold them through the Roanoke Hollins Stock Yard, Hagan said.

Bradley was convicted earlier this year of stealing the belongings of a woman who had trusted him to sell them for her.
