Draper Aden Associates has named RICHARD M. DISALVO JR. a partner. DiSalvo is office manager and director of environmental and site/civil projects in the Blacksburg office. He has been with the firm since 1991.

The Blacksburg office of Anderson and Associates announced the appointments of two new employees. MICHAEL GILL will be a project engineer; TODD CARROLL is an inspector.

SCOTT BUMGARDNER, branch operations specialist at the Radford office of Edward D. Jones & Co., has passed examinations to become a licensed representative.

DION BRIGHT is the new manager of 84 Lumber Co.'s Pearisburg store. A native of Elkins, W.Va., he started with the company in 1991 at the Williamson, W.Va., store.

\ In Medicine

Four physicians have joined the staff of Radford Community Hospital:

Ophthalmologist GLENN K. DAVIS has completed a residency at the Medical College of Virginia and an internship at Riverside Hospital, Newport News.

Dr. WILLIAM T. HENDRICKS of Blacksburg, a family practitioner, is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Dr. ATHENA A. HOWARD, specializing in internal medicine, graduated from the West Virginia School of Medicine and completed a residency at the school's Charleston Division.

Otolaryngologist MICHAEL SAMPSON received a medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and completed his residency at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. MARGARET L. MEREDITH and Dr. JEFFREY MARKS are receiving patients at New River Valley Podiatry and Foot Surgery in Blacksburg. Meredith also has an office in Pearisburg. Marks comes to the New River Valley from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

GEORGE B. McCLELLAND of Christiansburg was a speaker at the New York Chiropractic Council's fifth annual convention in Long Island.

LISA McGINTY, owner and operator of Corporate Gift Connection, is the Greater Blacksburg Chamber of Commerce member of the month for November.

DUSTY ETTER of Elliston will retire from Litton Poly-Scientific in December. He has worked for the company since 1959, most recently as a supervisor in various areas.

JAMES GILLENWATERS of Christiansburg has retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation after 31 years of service.
