Anne Hite, 43, is married to assistant head coach and running backs coach Billy Hite. The couple met when they were students at North Carolina University, married in 1977 and moved to Blacksburg in 1978. They have three children: Kirsten Marie, 8; Bryn Elizabeth Louise, 6; and Griffin William, 2.

Shirley Tranquill, 54, wife of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Gary Tranquill, is an internationally rated gymnastics judge. She also choreographs floor exercises and routines for gymnastics teams all over the country. She and her husband have two grown children: Kari, who lives in Baltimore; and Christopher, a Naval Academy graduate stationed in Norfolk.

Cindy Strock, 53, is married to Hokies' receivers coach Terry Strock. The couple have two grown daughters: Cheryl Lee, who lives in Lexington, Ky.; and Christl Lynn, a 1991 graduate of Virginia Tech. Strock is originally from Rocky Mount and is an avid golfer.

Shelley Stinespring, 28, is married to Bryan Stinespring, tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator. The couple's first child, Daniel, was born June 21. Shelley Stinespring is also a secretary in the football office at Virginia Tech.

Linda Sharpless, 45, is married to outside linebackers and rovers coach Rod Sharpless. A former physical education teacher, she has coached girls' field hockey and lacrosse. She's originally from Mercerville, N.J. The couple have a 3-year-old daughter, Victoria.

Jacquie Foster, 35, is married to Bud Foster, now in his eighth season as the Virginia Tech linebackers coach. Foster, a beautician, is also the mother of Ammie, 15; Grant, 8; and Hillary, 6. She met her husband when he was a student at Murray State University in her hometown, Murray, Ky.
