BOWMAN, Mamie Harper, 69, of Roanoke, died Saturday, November 12, 1994. She is survived by her husband, Harry B. Bowman; daughter, Karen Bowman; sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred Eller, Carolyn and John Huzzard of Fairfax Station, Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Gerry Harper; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 1994, at Oakey's South Chapel with Pastor Harold S. Moyer officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, November 14, 1994. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Foundation. BROWN, Lula Richards, 85, of Roanoke and formerly of Bent Mountain, passed away Sunday, November 13, 1994. She was the widow of Clinton D. Brown and was preceded in death by a son, Page G. Brown. Surviving are her sons, Clyde D. Brown, Alfred L. Brown, L. Wayne Brown all of Roanoke, Amos H. Brown, Bedford; her daughters, Alma B. Nunley, Carolyn B. Barr both of Roanoke; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a brother, General Richards, Reidsville, N.C.; her sisters, Sarah Poff, Roanoke, Catherine Matherly, Reidsville, N. C. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel, Tuesday, November 15, 1994, 1 p.m. with the Rev. Frank H. Wimmer officiating. Interment in Restvale Cemetery, Floyd Co. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel.

CAMPER, Hugh Alexander, 76, of Huddleston, passed away Saturday, November 12, 1994, in the Virginia Baptist Hospital. Born March 16, 1918 in Bedford County, he was the son of the late M. Houston Camper and Mattie Heptinstall Camper. He was a member of the Mentow Masonic Lodge No. 180 AM and FM, retired employee of Burlington Industries, Altavista, Va. and was a member of the Mentow Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a trustee. He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Violet Dudley Camper and his 2nd wife, Louise Fuqua Camper. He is survived by two sons, Bobby Hugh Camper, Manassas and Moneta, Roy Wallace Camper and a daughter-in-law, Marie Camper, Evington. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 15, 1994, at 11 a.m. from the Mentow Baptist Church, with the Rev. Darrin Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Updike Funeral Home, Huddleston, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and other times at the residence. Those wishing to make memorials are asked to consider the American Cancer Society.

CLARK, Edward S., (``Sammy""), 66, of Roanoke, died Sunday, November 13, 1994, at his home. He was a veteran of World War II; former employee of Norfolk & Western Railway; owner of Sammy's Golden Horseshoe and the member of the Moose Lodge; the V.F.W. and the American Legion. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward S. Clark Jr. and Sharon Taylor- Clark, Eric H. Clark and Kaithlean Crotty-Clark; grandsons, Christopher E. Clark, Stephen J. Clark all of Roanoke; loving and caring sister, Mamie E. Cumbie and her husband, Jack, Roanoke; also two sisters, Beatrice Carey of Stewartsville, Maudine Oney of Roanoke; two brothers, Earl P. Clark, Roanoke, Robert L. Clark and wife, Gloria of Goodview; his favorite niece, Nancy and other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, by the Rev. Charles R. Doyle with Burial in Sherwood Memorial Park. DANIELS, Clifford Gene, 50, of Route 5, Bedford, died Sunday, November 13, 1994, at his residence. He was born in Pike County, Ken. on December 31, 1943 a son of the late Ray Daniels and Ethel Mounts Daniels. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ervin Daniels, Bill Daniels, Robert Daniels and Eddie Daniels. He was employed by Georgia-Pacific and was an Army Veteran. Clifford was a member of the Bedford Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Janet S. Daniels; one daughter, Crystal G. Daniels; two sons Jason A. Daniels and Eddie E. Daniels, all of Bedford; six brothers, Van J. Daniels, Forest, Thomas M. Daniels, Roanoke, Douglas M. Daniels, Clifton D. Daniels, John A. Daniels, Eldo O. Daniels, all of Bedford; four sisters, Haze l D. Peverall, Bedford, Shirley D. Harris, Nashville, Tenn., Pricilla D. Vaughn and Barbara G. Daniels, both of Bedford; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 1994, at the Bedford Church of God with the Rev. John R. Ivins officiating. Burial will follow in Sedalia Baptist Church Cemetery. DAVIS, Eva, 84, of Shawsville, formerly of New Castle, passed away Saturday, November 12, 1994. Eva was a ``special"" lady and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. The past few months she resided in Shawsville. Formerly she made her home at Fairview in Dublin. She was born in New Castle. By her long life, she is preceded in death by an aunt, Nelsie Davis Austin, a cousin, Elmer P. Davis. Survivors include a cousin by marriage, Frances M. Davis of Moneta. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 1994, at 2 p.m. in the John M. Oakey and Son Chapel in Salem with the Rev. L. R. Taylor Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery in New Castle. The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends one hour prior to the service.

FARMER, Joe Lansing Holmes, 80, of Marion, died Sunday, November 13, 1994 in Francis Marion Manor Nursing Home. He is survived by one brother, John F. Farmer of Marion; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 1994, at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. David Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Rich Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery. HINES, Carolyn Ann Spinner, 42, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, November 12, 1994. She was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia D. ``Cindy'' McCray. Survivors include two daughters, Vanessa and Carletta Jones. one granddaughter, Alexus. Her mother, Dorothy M. McCray. One sister, Brenda McCray. Grandmother, Mrs. Mary Spinner and one great-aunt Miss Collie Stewart all of Roanoke. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. KNELSON, Nelda Rife, 79, of Blacksburg, passed away Saturday, November 12, 1994, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was a retired employee for the State of Illinois. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Chris (Nelda) Pearson of Radford; two sons, John H. Knelson of Morehead City, N.C. and James D. Knelson of Aurora, Col.; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Buxa of Annamoose, N.D., and Mrs. Elizabeth Kinn of Lebanon, Oregon; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 1994, 2 p.m. at the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford, with the Rev. Bob Hendrickson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. MURRAY, Wallace Filmore, 73, of Newport, formerly of Blacksburg, died Sunday, November 13, 1994, at Montgomery Regional Hospital, Blacksburg. Mr. Murray was born in Detroit, MI on June 9, 1921 a son of the late Carlton and Margaret Filgo Murray. He was a long time employee of Blacksburg Hardware and Guynn's Department Store. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U. S. Army. Preceding him in death was a daughter, Marsha Lynn Murray. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara M. Soroka, Grundy, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Clifford W. and Margie B. Murray, Salem; one granddaughter, Lalena K. Soroka, Radford University; one brother, Robert Murray, North Brook, Il.; friends, Graham, Carolyn, and Nancy Farrier, Newport. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 1994, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, Blacksburg. The family will recieve friends Monday form 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

REYNOLDS, Daniel Webster, 68, of Salem, died Saturday, November 12, 1994. Survivors include three sisters, Laura R. Hull, Radford, Fannie R. Boothe, Salem, Elizabeth R. Albert, Blacksburg; two brothers, Russell F. Reynolds, Paul J. Reynolds, both of Salem; a sister-in-law, Margaret C. Reynolds, Salem; several nieces and nephews; a host of cousins and friends. RONK, Charlie E., 93, of Roanoke Co. passed away Saturday, November 12, 1994, at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Wray Ronk.
