Dave Barry and wife, Beth, have quietly split, says New York magazine. They have a teen-age son. Producer Jonathan Axelrod says the separation won't affect TV's ``Dave's World,'' ``but I'm sure he'll write about this: `Dave Barry Gets a Divorce.'''

Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf was the big winner on last week's annual ``Celebrity Jeopardy'' TV game. He actually won $14,000, which was doubled by the show. David Hyde Pierce of TV's ``Frasier'' was second, winning $400 less than the Persian Gulf War hero. Both gave the money to charity.

Roseanne will wed bodyguard-plus Ben Thomas next Valentine's Day, says Variety's Army Archerd. In People, the TV star says her thing with Thomas, 13 years younger, went high-octane after she filed for divorce last summer from Tom Arnold and Thomas joined her for a vacation at an Italian castle.

``We came in from a hike,'' Thomas recalls, ``and she pushed me into the pool. That's when I knew I was in love.''
