FOR THE RECORD

Because of a copy editor's error, the name of the North Roanoke Meteors soccer team was misspelled in Tuesday's editions.

Patrick Henry High School's Richard Mason is the football player who will return from being injured to play against Woodbridge High on Friday night. Because of a reporter's error, the wrong player was named in a story Thursday.

Amplification

The future of the YWCA's Salem center is uncertain. The organization's lease on the building that houses the center, owned by Roanoke College, will expire in October 1995. Harriet Lewis, the YWCA's executive director, said the board of directors has options, including negotiating a new lease with the college next fall. That will depend largely on the organization's financial condition, which could be improved by an expected fee increase. In the nine years the YWCA has leased the building, "we would have poured in an awful lot of money for a building that we do not own," Lewis said. "The board is looking at that and trying to be competent stewards" of the organization's finances.
