MAPUTO, Mozambique - The ruling party won last month's presidential elections but will have to share power in parliament with rebels it fought for 19 years, according to final results released Saturday.
The results of the Oct. 27-29 ballot confirmed what election officials had said for days: President Joaquim Alberto Chissano was re-elected and his Mozambique Liberation Front, or FRELIMO, edged past the former rebels in the parliamentary vote.

'Fugitive' banned in Chinese theaters
BEIJING - Harrison Ford escaped the law in ``The Fugitive,'' but the film couldn't evade Chinese culture czars nervous about Western influence on their country's movie industry.
Filmgoers hoping to see the Hollywood box office smash were turned away this week after officials told Beijing theaters to stop showing the movie. It opened Nov. 12 and was playing to packed houses.
The film was cancelled because some officials who oversee the film industry believed showing it would allow foreign distributors to ``invade'' China's movie market and muscle domestic films out of the market, the official China Business Times reported Saturday.
