ATKINS, Joe Allen, 84, of Woolwine, Va. died Sunday, November 20, 1994, in the Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, Va. He was owner and operator of W. G. Atkins & Son Store in Woolwine, Va. He is survived by his wife, Annie Weaver Atkins of the home; one sister, Mrs. Ella Smith of Grand Junction, Colorado; three brothers, Dan Atkins of Woolwine, Va., B. I. Atkins and Bob Atkins both of Martinsville, Va. The funeral will be held Tuesday at the Woolwine United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with burial in the church cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, Va.

BURKHOLDER, John Walter, 75, of Buchanan, died Sunday, November 20, 1994. He was a member of the Va. Presbyterian Church and was retired from Ingersol-Rand. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Zena Burkholder, and one sister, Thelma Broughman. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruby Ashburn Burkholder; three sons and daughters-in-law, John Luther and Fran K. Burkholder, Daleville, Fred Barry and Dollie A. Burkholder, Buchanan, Phillip Dale and Pamela W. Burkholder, Goodview; two granddaughters, Michele Burkholder, Goodview, Jessica Burkholder, Daleville; one grandson, John W. Burkholder, Daleville; two stepgrandchildren, Dawn Fields, Buchanan, Chad Fields, Goodview; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Nina and Earl Humphrey, Roanoke, Margaret Broughman, Buchanan. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 1994, 2 p.m., at the Rader Buchanan Chapel, with the Rev. Chester L. Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. CLARK, Lorena Mason, 76, of Buena Vista, died Saturday, November 19, 1994, in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born August 28, 1918, in Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late William B. and Mary Agnes Robinson Mason. She was also predeceased by two sons, Otha Talmage Clark and Homer S. Wilhelm. She was retired from Washington and Lee University from food services. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Surviving are her husband, H. W. Beecher Clark; two sons, Leon Wilhelm of Lexington and Delmas Clark of Buena Vista; two daughters, Mrs. Robert E. (Joyce) Lewis of Lexington and Della McCraw of Glasgow; twenty-one grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; three sis ters, Margie Clark of Jacksonville, Fla., Lucille Wyckle of White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. and Roxie Dollman of Clifton Forge. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 1994, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Buena Vista with Elder Alvin Coleman and Elder Garvis Wheeler officiating. Interment will be in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lomax Funeral Home. DeBORD, Mrs. Betty June (Smith), 63, of Marion, died Saturday, November 19, 1994 in the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. Mrs. DeBord was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lincoln DeBord. She was a longtime member of the Bob White Boulevard Church of God in Pulaski, Va. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ted J. and Karen DeBord, Columbia, MO.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Garland (Glenna) Henderson, Mrs. Bobby (Debbie) Borders, all of Marion; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; six sisters, Mrs. Kansas Ernest, Saltville, Mrs. Linda Parks, Su gar Grove, Mrs. Billie Bowman, Bristol, Tenn., Mrs. Alma Borders, Roanoke, Mrs. Juanita Rutherford, Ancaster, Ontario, Mrs. Gay Taylor, Pensacola, Fla.; three brothers, Joe T. Smith, Lake Tuxaway, N.C., Preston A. Smith, Harrison, Tenn., Robert L. Smith, Sebring, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Betty DeBord will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 1994, in the D. R. Henderson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bobby Briggs and the Rev. FINNELL, Robert Franklin Sr., 76, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, November 19, 1994 at the VA Medical Center in Salem. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Finnell was a 50 year member of the Osceola-Roanoke Lodge #47 Knights of Pythias and a member of Rajah Temple #195. Surviving are his wife, Frances C. Finnell, Roanoke; son, Tad Finnell, Fincastle; daughter, Tina Griffith, Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren, Angela, Whitney, Andrew and Beth; brother, Jack Finnell, Miami, Fla.; stepfather, S. A. Crumpacker, Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel, 1 p.m. Tuesday, with Dr. Jerry O. Campbell and Dr. John W. Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Fair View Cemetery. HILTON, Master Devin Oliver, 17 months, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, November 18,1994. He was born May 25, 1993. He is survived by his parents, Clarence and Benecia Hilton; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Virginia Hilton; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin H. Hale Jr., maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Idenia W. Hylton; godparents, Johnnie and Clarissa Nash; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at the Loudon Avenue Christian Church. The Rev. William L. Lee and the Rev. Lorraine Alston will officiate. Interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. KING, Betty Huff, 59, of Blacksburg, died Friday, November 18, 1994 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville. She is survived by six daughters, Earline Nunn of Blacksburg, Anette DeGroodt of Christiansburg, Wendy King of Christiansburg, Lori Whitlock of Christiansburg, Nicky Lynn Olinger of Blacksburg, and Elizabeth Lorraine Olinger of Blacksburg; two sons, Michael King of Pembroke, and Craig King of Pennsylvania; also survived by two sisters; two brothers; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. from the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Glen Arseno officiating. McCLOUD, Mayova G., 85, of Rocky Mount, died Sunday, November 20, 1994 at Roanoke Community Hospital, Roanoke, Va. Born March 22, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah Elizabeth Richardson Gillispie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Foster McCloud Sr., daughter, Ramona Bower, grandson, Barry McCloud, and great-grandson, Christopher Eanes. Surviving are five daughters, Bonnie Edwards, Roanoke, Emma Jean Farmer, Roanoke, Violet Reynolds, Penhook, Vivian Jenkins, Roanoke, Novella McDaniel, Ferrum; three sons, Otis McCloud, Martinsville, Ronnie McCloud, Manassas, Roger McCloud, Check; one stepdaughter, Louise Shively, Stuart; t wo stepsons, Foster McCloud Jr., Seattle, Wash., and Jack McCloud, Richmond; one sister, Melvie Hankshaw, Mullins, W. Va.; twenty-two grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
