TEACHER'S EXHIBIT PLANNED AT PULASKI ARTS CENTER|

Patricia T. Carr, a Roanoke County teacher, will have an exhibit of her still-life and floral watercolor paintings at the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley during December.

She will be on hand for a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 4. The public is welcome, and refreshments will be served.

Carr is a professional artist as well as an art teacher. She is co-author of the elementary art curriculum and elementary teacher's activity and resource guide for the Roanoke County school system, and is active in the League of Roanoke Artists.

She has works in several galleries and hundreds of corporate, public and private collections. Her watercolors reflect a precision of technique, carefully-planned compositions, close-up views, and clear, distinct color applications.

``Art is a way of thinking, a way of understanding - the ability to see, to imagine, to communicate,'' she said. ``It is a way of living - a way I try to live.''

The exhibit will be at the center gallery at 21 W. Main St. in Pulaski.
