NRCC registration

DUBLIN - Registration for spring semester at New River Community College will begin Monday, Nov. 28, and continue through Friday, Jan. 13.

Classes for spring semester will start Monday, Jan. 9.

The college will offer daytime courses in more than 50 areas of study.

Housing fair Wednesday

BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech's Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity will sponsor a housing fair Wednesday, Nov. 30, 1-6 p.m., in Cassell Coliseum.

Christmas crafts

PEARISBURG - The registration deadline is Friday, Nov. 25, for crafters who wish to display their wares at the fifth annual Christmas crafts show, sponsored by Pearisburg Recreation Department's Students for Educational Experiences.

The show is Saturday, Dec. 3, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Community Center gymnasium.

The rental fee for booths - with or without electricity - is $10.

RADFORD - Entries for participation in the Radford Christmas Parade will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 2.

This year's parade is being sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Radford and is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 8.

Kwanzaa celebration

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech Black Cultural Center and Black Student Alliance will present a Kwanzaa celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 7:30-10 p.m., in the Commonwealth Ballroom of the Squires Student Center.

The Kwanzaa will feature the music of the Walter Bell Band, cultural vendors and traditional African American Food.
