A NEW TREE FOR KIPPS SCHOOL|

The Blacksburg High School Class of 1941 recently planted a tree at Kipps Elementary School in Blacksburg in honor of Mae Kipps and in memory of Florence Kipps, two former teachers for whom the new school is named.

The class had 12 of its 96 graduates in attendence: Tincie Hungate Mattox, Arlene Gray Hudgins, Carlos Morris, Martha Pascoe Wade, Iona Johnson Oliver, Emory Scaggs, Louise Price Long, Marvin Lawrence, Marie Dillon Bland, Margaret Kelsey Ridinger, Nell Swain Townsend and James Bland.
