ATTACKER GETS 100 YEARS

Junior Lee Glenn, who pleaded guilty to shooting his ex-girlfriend three times, was sentenced Wednesday to 100 years in state prison by a Roanoke County Circuit Court judge.

County Detective Jeff Herrick said Glenn apologized and agreed to pay Taja Crawley's medical bills. Crawley lost an eye and some mobility in her right arm as a result of the shooting.

Last month, Glenn pleaded guilty to aggravated malicious wounding, breaking and entering with a deadly weapon with the intent to commit a felony, and using a firearm in a felony.

In May, he was charged with breaking into the motel room where Crawley was staying. Glenn knocked on Crawley's door. When she would not open it, he shot through the window and then shot her. He later gave himself up to police.

Glenn will be eligible for parole after 47 years, Herrick said.
