NRCC CHORUS TO GIVE CONCERTS

Radford - The New River Valley Community Chorus presents two Christmas concerts this holiday season. Performances will be Dec. 11, 3 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 408 N. Jefferson Ave., Pulaski, and Dec. 12, 8 p.m., at CentraL United Methodist Church, Eighth and Wadsworth Streets, Radford.

The program includes the "St. Cecilia Mass" by Charles Gounod and suite two of "The Many Moods of Christmas," arranged by Robert Shaw and Robert Russell Bennett. Lynn Loftus directs the chorus.

For "The Many Moods of Christmas," the chorus will be joined by the Pulaski County High School Advanced Concert Choir in the Pulaski performance, and by the Radford High School Concert Choir during the Radford performance.

Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

RU percussion group to play

RADFORD - The Radford University Percussion and Marimba Ensemble will presentits fall concert Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Preston Auditorium.

Al Wojtera, professor at the university, will direct the ensemble in works representing a number of differing percussion styles.

Admission is free with university identification, $3 for general public and $1 for children.
