SO?!!

Last summer, the Roanoke Times & World-News' Newspaper In Education program and Valley View Mall sponsored "Summersaurus," a fun and educational game focusing on dinosaurs.

Using a gameboard inserted in the Roanoke Times & World-News and clues found sporadically throughout the newspaper in July, August and September, kids answered a variety of questions about the dinosaur replicas stationed at Valley View Mall.

Completed gameboards were turned in at Valley View Mall, where participants received prizes for their efforts. Recently, three grand prizes were awarded to:

Trey Simmons, a third-grader at Monterey Elementary School in Roanoke County, who won a $100 mall gift certificate;

Mark Noble, a kindergartener at Cave Spring Elementary School in Roanoke County, who won a $75 mall gift certificate;

Emily Walker, 4, who won a $50 mall gift certificate.
