Vanessa Hill, a Police Department spokeswoman, said an officer discovered the break-in after he noticed a shattered window at the business. A bumper jack, apparently used to burst the window, was found on the floor of the Virginia 99 business.
Police called the manager, who noticed that three plastic prescription bottles had been moved and an undisclosed amount of Ibuprofen, Tylenol 3 and 4, and Valium tablets were missing.
The break-in happened between midnight and 1:30 a.m. Monday.
Pulaski police also are investigating a complaint that juveniles firing a BB gun were responsible for shooting out a car's window on Thanksgiving night.
Hill said the incident happened at 11:40 p.m. Harry Dexter Surber reported he was driving on Newbern Road between Fourth and Fifth streets when his driver's side window was shot at and shattered.
A person living in the neighborhood reported seeing children playing with an air gun and firing toward a vacant lot. No charges have been filed. Shooting into an occupied vehicle is a felony.
