RED CROSS CHANGES BLOOD DONOR HOURS

The American Red Cross has changed the operating hours of its downtown Roanoke donor room.

The Church Avenue center will now be open only for special blood donations on Thursdays. Friday's early bird hours now are even earlier, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Monday through Wednesday hours do not change.

Beginning Jan. 7, the center will open on the first Saturday of every month from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The annual Christmas Donorama will be at the Roanoke Civic Center, Dec. 20.
