RVC BOYS RALLY IN SEASON OPENER

Roanoke Valley Christian rallied from a 12-point third-quarter deficit to upend Tri-Cities Christian 64-53 in the Eagles' boys' basketball opener Tuesday night.

Roanoke Valley Christian (0-1) outscored Tri-Cities (0-4) 26-8 in the fourth quarter. Tri-Cities had one field goal in the fourth quarter.

Simon Foster led the Eagles with 13 points, and Joel Nester and Joe Surkamer both had 11. Brian Reynolds and Chris Stampfli led Tri-Cities with 11 points each.
