DONATIONS GO ONLY TO THOSE WHO NEED HELP

The Good Neighbors Fund gains contributions from many people for many reasons.

Phyllis W. Van Eps of Roanoke said she chose to make her annual contribution because no money is used for overhead costs - 100 percent of the money goes to help those in need.

Roanoke Area Ministries uses every dollar collected in the fund, which runs through Dec. 31, to help residents meet fuel, utility, medical and other emergency needs. None is spent on administrative costs. This is the 11th year that the Roanoke Times & World-News has conducted the drive to assist RAM.

Thursday's contributors included:

Linda Weade, in memory of Monte and in honor of Nancy, Glory and Virgie

Anonymous, in honor of David Holloway
