Robert and Dianne Brown celebrated their 25th Anniversary on November 29. The celebration was held at their home. It was hosted by Jame, Kim and Kayle Altice and Michael Brown. The couple were married November 29, 1969 in Chesterfield, S.C. Formerly of Roanoke, they have lived in Franklin County since 1985. She's the former Dianne Brooks. They are the proud parents of daughter and son-in-law, James (Herbie) and Kim Altice, a son, Michael, and proud grandparents of granddaughter, Kayle Altice, all of Glade Hill, Va. Th ey have a special niece, Melissa Easter, her husband, Raymond, and their daughter, Kaitlin of Richmond, Va. Robert is self employed as an owner operator and Dianne is a housewife
Gibson anniversary
Irvin and Gladys (Richardson) Gibson celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary November 27, 1994, with family and friends at Holiday Inn Civic Center. Married November 25, 1944, the couple has three children: Roger (Joyce) Gibson, Dana (Dianah) Gibson, Angie (Bill) Lorenzo. Gran and Pap have five special grandchildren: Jennifer (Austin) Williams, Roger Dean Gibson, Jr., Dana Lynn Gibson, II, Michael and Chris Lorenzo. Mr. Gibson is retired from the Postal Service; Mrs. Gibson works for Holiday Inn Civic Center.
Hendrick anniversary
Lewis Hurt Hendrick and Florence Elenor Hendrick celebrated their 68th anniversary November 27, 1994. They were married November 27, 1926 in Waverly Place Baptist Church by the Rev. C.C. Thomas. She's the former Florence Elenor Gregory. They have five children; eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is retired from American Viscose and Eli Lilly. She's retired from American Viscose and as a home maker. They are members of Waverly Place Baptist Church.
Liddle anniversary
Billie Jean and Heath Nelson Liddle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 13, 1994 at the Marriott Hotel in Blacksburg. The celebration was hosted by Barbara and Bob Pack and H. N. and Joni Liddle.
The couple were married on November 10, 1994 in Christiansburg, Va. They reside in Newport after living for 35 years in Blacksburg. Nelson is formerly of Galax. Mrs. Liddle, the former Billie Jean Huffman, is a native of Blacksburg.
They have two children, Barbara Pack of Blacksburg, and H. N. Liddle, Jr. of Roanoke. Their grandson, Justin Daiber Pack, is a junior at Blacksburg High School.
Overstreet anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Overstreet will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on December 4, 1994 at Lynn Haven Baptist Church. It will be hosted by their sons and family. The couple were married in Roanoke, Va. on December 2, 1944 and have lived in Vinton, Va. for 49 years. Mrs. Overstreet is the former Christine Baldwin. They have two children, John H. Overstreet and Larry E. Overstreet, both of Roanoke, and four grandchildren. He is retired from H&C Coffee Co. of Roanoke. She is retired from the former Mick-or-Mack Stores, Inc. They are active members of Lynn Haven Baptist Church.
Reynolds anniversary
O. Marshall and Virginia Lipes Reynolds celebrated their 60th Anniversary with family and friends on December 1, 1994, at Natural Bridge, where he proposed to her. They were married on December 1, 1934, in Roanoke, Virginia, and have resided in New Castle for 44 years. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds are the retired former owners of Reynolds Motors Ford, Inc., in New Castle.
