Virginia (3-1) set school records for rebounds (71) and assists (32). The Cavaliers' 115 points tied a school record for a regulation game.
Virginia broke the game open early, leading 57-29 at halftime. The Cavaliers shot 66 percent in the first half, compared to just 25 percent for Rider (1-1).
Virginia's previous record for rebounds was 68 in a 55-42 loss to Longwood in February, 1978. The previous assist record was 32, set in 1990 against St. Francis.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Center Jenny Root and guard Lisa Leftwich scored 12 points each to lead the Hokies to a non-conference victory over the Moccasins. Root missed most of the second half when she was hit under the right eye at the beginning of the half.
Forward Christi Osborne added 11 points for Tech (3-2). Osborne moved past former Tech star and current VCU coach Susan Walvius into third place on the school career scoring list. Osborne has 1,169 points. Walvius had 1,161.
Tech went on an 11-4 run to open the second half to take control. The Hokies held UT-C (1-3) to 29.5 percent shooting from the field.

RADFORD - Junior Markita Aldridge scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead UNC Charlotte to a come-from-behind victory over the Highlanders.
Radford (1-3) led 38-34 early in the second half, but the Lady 49ers went on a 10-0 run to take a 44-38 lead.
The Highlanders cut the lead to 61-58 with under a minute left to play on a free throw by Nicole Gardiner, but Aldridge scored on a layup to push the UNC Charlotte lead back to five at 63-57 and then hit three of four free throws to secure the win.
Charlene Reid added 10 points for the Lady 49ers (2-0). Radford was paced by Sara Larsen, who scored 13 points, and Lisa Howard added 11.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Kia Williams scored 23 points to help the Panthers defeat Chowan in the championship game of the Greensboro College Classic.
Williams made 10 of 16 shots from the field as Ferrum (5-2) never trailed. Aimee Barker added 14 points and Natasha Randon chipped in 11 for the Panthers.
Former Magna Vista star Tamiko Martin blocked 10 shots after blocking 10 in Friday's game and was named to the all-tournament team.

Virginia Wesleyan jumped out to a 22-0 lead at the start of the game and never looked back as the Blue Marlins crushed Hollins in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game.
The Blue Marlins placed five players in double figures, and were led by Kristen Hopkins' 15 points. Erica Bynum added 14 and Amy Bisch chipped in 11. Alyson Marcus and Carrie Warren scored 10 each.
Hollins (0-4, 0-2) was hurt by 34 turnovers.

LEXINGTON - Freshman point guard Michelle Hicks made 10 free throws in the last two minutes as the Generals won an Old Dominion Athletic Conference matchup.
Emory & Henry (2-2 overall, 0-1 ODAC) went on a 14-3 run and took a 37-36 lead before Washington and Lee (3-3, 2-2) ran off seven straight points to take the lead for good.
