The Lee Ladies (29-0) beat the Vikings for the second time, having trimmed Loudoun Valley by 15 points in the Region II championship two weeks ago. Lee has lost only one game the past two years and that came 50-43 in last year's Region II semifinals against Loudoun Valley.
Lee led by as many as 12 points, but Loudoun Valley (25-5) closed to 26-19 when Jennifer Herberger hit a jumper. But Lee scored the next 10 points, starting with 3-point goals by sisters Jenni and Beth Corbin, and the Ladies gradually pulled away.
Jenni Corbin led a balanced Lee attack with 16 points and Kelly Simmons scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Loudoun Valley was paced by Cameron Arndt with eight points. Guard Stacey Simms dealt out seven assists, giving her 20 for the two-game tournament.
