KEYDETS RULE TRACK MEET

VMI's Damon Richardson, Jeff Hubbard, and Torre Costin captured first place in three different events at the 1994 VMI Invitational Indoor Track and Field meet at Cormack Field House in Lexington.

Richardson won the long jump by leaping 24 feet, 31/2 inches, and teammate Darrius Jackson came in third with a jump of 22-10.

Hubbard won the triple jump, just edging out teammate Obi Ezekwe with a jump of 49-2, six inches better than Ezekwe.

Costin placed first in the high jump, clearing the bar at 6-8 to beat Marshall's Jamie Burgess by two inches.

In other events, the Keydets' Eric Gay and Holm Ankoma-Sey were second and third in the 55-meter dash, and Jason Clendenin and Ryan Earley placed second and third, respectively, in the shot put.
