Most impressive late start: Tony Martin hunted deer with a bow and arrow for 28 years without bringing home venison. Even his wife, Bea, was beginning to wonder about him.

But he got the hang of it this season. He killed a doe the first day. The following Saturday in Bedford County he killed a seven-point buck and 10-point buck. The same day. \
