PRESTON OAKS WINS FLOAT CONTEST

Preston Oaks Baptist Church took first place in the float category for its entry in Saturday's 1994 Festival of Lights Christmas parade in Roanoke.

Second place went to Spurs Dance Club, and the Roanoke Valley Shag Club won third.

Winners in the band category were Randolph Macon Academy, first; Andrew Lewis Middle School, second; and Patrick Henry High School, third.

For marching units, the Youth Clown Marching Corps won first prize, Brownie Troop 19 finished second, and Winston-Lake YMCA was third.
