MAN DIED OF EXPOSURE

An 80-year-old Bedford County man whose body was found Saturday night near his home in Evington died of exposure, according to an autopsy report released Monday.

A hunter found the body of Abner Little on Saturday near a creek close to Little's home off Virginia 713. Little was naked except for a pair of shoes. Bedford sheriff's deputies found no evidence of foul play.

"We're not sure why he was outside. It would seem he locked himself out of his house," said Dr. William Massello, assistant deputy chief medical examiner for Western Virginia.
