Meeting on road proposal

CHRISTIANSBURG - The proposed widening of Virginia 177 from the Radford city limits to Interstate 81 is the subject of a Virginia Department of Transportation public informational meeting Dec. 14, 6-8 p.m., at Bethel Elementary School.

Construction work to widen the road to four lanes tentatively is set to begin next spring.
