BLAHA, Emma L., 76, of Roanoke, formerly of Elbert, W.Va., died Wednesday, December 7, 1994, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born November 6, 1918 in Elbert, W.Va., the daughter of the late Martian and Luvina Majerczyk. She had lived in Elbert, W.Va., the greater part of her life, living in Roanoke the past year. She was a graduate of Gary High School, where she was an honor student. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Gary, W.Va., where she was a member of the Alter Society. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Blaha in 1993; three brothers, John, Walter and Joe Majerczyk. Surviving are one daughter, with whom she made her home, Mrs. William (``Jeanette'') Spichek, Roanoke; a grandson, Jeff Spichek, Roanoke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Saturday, December 10, 1994, at 10 a.m. from Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Gary, W.Va., with Father That Son officiating. DICKER, Clifford Ernest, (``Cliff""), 58, of Rt. 100, Barren Springs, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 19 94, in Wytheville, Va. Born October 24, 1936 in Springfield, Maine, he was the son of the late Fred Eugene Dicker and Bessie Adelle Smith Dicker. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Maxine Swecker Dicker. He was retired from the United States Air Force, with 20 years service, having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a Sheriff's Deputy with the Wythe County Sheriff's Department, Wytheville, Va.,14 years service. Surviving are his wife, Beverly Sue Swecker Dicker, Barren Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Barry and Karla Dicker Turman, Roanoke; two sons, Brent Allen Dicker, Barren Springs, Michael Anthony Dicker, Barren's Springs, and fiancee, April Leigh Christian, Bluefield, W. Va.; two stepdaughters and son-in-law, Rhonda Michelle LaRue, Roanoke, Jennifer Lynne Clark and Robert E. Clark, Pulaski; two granddaughters, Amber Nicole Turman, Samantha Jane Clark; sisters, Charlotte Payne-Conard, Cross Junction, Va., Dorothy Ann Albert, Lincoln, Maine; brother, Donald E. MOORMAN, Herman Shackford Sr. 91, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, December 6, 1994, in a Roanoke hospital. He was a long time member of Belmont United Methodist Church and South Roanoke United Methodist Church, served as superintendent of the Baltimore Conference and was a life long member of the Epworth League. He was one of the ten original members of the Roanoke Life Saving and First Aid Crew, the first volunteer rescue squad in the world. He retired from the Norfolk and Western Railway with 48 years of service. Surviving are his twin sister, Mabel Moorman Kennett, Roanoke; daughter, Mary Anne Moorman, Seattle, Wash.; son and daughter-in-law, John Kenneth Moorman and Jan Garrett Moorman, Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Shawn Daniel Moorman, Christopher Garrett Moorman, Trent Matthew Moorman; niece, Mrs. Guy Boger; nephew, Dr. C. STEINHARDT, Ralph Gustav, Jr., 76, of Roanoke, died Sunday, November 27, 1994, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Therry of Brookline, New Hampshire, Sarah of Atlanta, Ga., Ralph of Takoma Park, Md.; three grandchildren, Anna, Ruth and Tavi. Dr. Steinhardt was educated at Lehigh University and Virginia Tech. He retired from teaching chemistry at Hollins College in 1980. He was associated with Brookhaven, Oak Ridge, and Los Alamos National Laboratories as a research scientist. He was a veteran of World War II.
