Mike Hudson has been a staff writer with the Roanoke Times & World-News since 1985. He began investigating the credit problems of disadvantaged consumers during an Alicia Patterson Fellowship in 1992. His reporting on the subject has appeared in the Washington Post, New York Times, Southern Exposure and other publications and has been honored with a John Hancock Award for Business/Financial Journalism.
