The Terriers (2-0) outscored the Bengals (1-3) in all four quarters. Jeremy Obenchain had 19 points - 10 in the fourth quarter - and 15 rebounds for Byrd while teammate Michael McGuire added 15 points. Childress also had nine rebounds for the Terriers.

PETERSBURG - Brian Lester and Jim Davis hit some crucial free throws down the stretch to lift St. Vincent's past Roanoke Catholic in a non-conference game.
Roanoke Catholic (1-1) managed to cut the lead to three, 76-73, with 19 seconds left, but Davis and Lester both hit two free throws to seal the win for the Saints.
Lester finished with a game-high 33 points - 20 in the first half as the Saints (2-3) built a four-point lead at halftime. Davis added 12 and Steve Yavorsky chipped in 13.
Tony Joyce led the Celtics with 24 points. Roanoke Catholic also got 14 points and 19 rebounds from P.L Bratton, and Rod Tasco chipped in 13 points and 20 rebounds.

CHATHAM - Chatham Hall used balanced scoring from eight players to get past North Cross in a non-conference game.
Heather Caulfield and Claire Ong led the way for Chatham Hall (1-0) with six points each. Chatham Hall trailed by four at halftime, but outscored North Cross 15-5 in the third quarter after Raiders' point guard Katheryn Anthony went out of the game with a twisted knee.
North Cross (0-4) took the lead at halftime, thanks to Emily Cook, who scored seven of her game-high 12 in the first half.
