LONG-RANGE VICTORY FOR CARLISLE

Joseph McClinton scored 27 points and Rod Mitchell added 23 as Carlisle stomped Lynchburg Christian Academy 105-57 on Friday in a Virginia Independent Conference game.

Carlisle (5-0, 3-0) made 10 3-pointers in the game. Mitchell hit three and McClinton added two.

The Chiefs also got 12 points from Ryan Smith and 14 from Kevin Warren, including two 3-pointers.

LCA (3-3, 0-1) got 22 points from Trent Richardson, who hit four 3-pointers, and 18 from Don Barrows.
