MAN GETS 30 DAYS FOR PHONE SEX CALLS

A 23-year-old Bedford County man who broke into a house to make calls to a telephone sex service was convicted of interfering with property rights, a misdemeanor.

Timothy Snead, who originally was charged with breaking and entering, a felony, pleaded guilty to the reduced charge and received a 30-day jail sentence. He agreed to reimburse the homeowner for the telephone calls and property damage.

Snead, who was arrested in July, brought his own phone to make the calls.
