CHURCHES PRESENT LIVING NATIVITIES

On the evenings before Christmas, many church groups present living Nativities or tableaux on the lawn to permit those who drive by to be reminded of the significance of the season. Here are some presentations:

HOLLINS ROAD BAPTIST CHURCH, 3502 Old Mountain Road N.E., Dec.18-22 from 7 to 9.

COLONIAL BAPTIST CHURCH,106 Hillcrest St., Blue Ridge, Dec. 19 and 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Four scenes will be portrayed.

RIDGEWOOD BAPTIST CHURCH, 703 Hemlock Road N.W., Dec. 21 and 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 1831 Deyerle Road S.W., Dec. 24 before the 5 and 7 p.m. services.

BELMONT CHRISTIAN CHURCH,1101 Jamison Ave. S.E., Dec. 21, 22 and 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. The church's youth group is joined by that of downtown Roanoke's First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ.)

ST. PAUL'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, Main at Market streets in downtown Salem, Dec. 20 and 21 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

WEST SALEM BAPTIST CHURCH, on the lawn of Snyder Nursing Home at Main and North Broad streets in downtown Salem, Dec. 21, 22 and 23 from 6 to 9 p.m.

DALEVILLE CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN An outdoor tableau may be seen Sunday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the lawn facing U.S. 220 in Botetourt County.
