TOWN CELEBRATES HISTORIC DISTRICT SATURDAY

A day of special events is set in downtown Pulaski Saturday to celebrate its Historic District.

Women in Victorian-style dress will distribute oranges and apples to visitors during the day. A visit from Santa Claus is on the agenda.

Radio Station WPUV will carry a live remote on the activities from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Blacksburg Community Bands will perform Christmas carols from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

A raffle drawing is scheduled for 2 p.m. in front of the Old Courthouse on Main Street. Prizes include an antique ostrich egg set in brass, a set of Cross pins, a singing canary complete with cage, a hand-painted baby cradle, several $50 U.S. Savings Bonds, $50 worth of baked goods and more.
