`FIND SANTA' CONTEST ON WRAD-WRIQ

Listeners to WRAD (1460 AM) and WRIQ (101.7 FM) could win daily prizes and a $200 grand prize shopping spree in downtown Radford, as part of Main Street Radford's "FIND SANTA" contest. Each day except Sunday, the stations give out clues to where shoppers might see the elusive Saint Nick in a participating store. The shopper who spots Santa and asks "Is that the Main Street Santa?" wins a gift worth at least $20. Santa then moves to another participating merchant's store.

WRAD and WRIQ give out clues through Tuesday, when the promotion ends. The daily winners qualify for the grand prize drawing.

"Long Live Rock" - Tuesdays, 8 p.m., on Radford University's WVRU (89.9 FM) - begins a four-part feature on the ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND. The first installment covers the Southern rockers' beginning years through 1970, including their debut album and material from the "Dreams" boxed set.

Starting Monday, 14-K, WKEX (1430 AM) offers 100 percent CHRISTMAS MUSIC. The holiday program lineup includes the Kathy Mattea "Good News Radio Special" Christmas program Monday, 2:05 p.m., right after USA Radio Network news on the hour.

Today, personalities from WRAD (1460 AM) and WRIQ (101.7 FM) visit Impressive Styles in Dublin, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Robinhood Rentals in Radford, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, 3 to 6 p.m., the stations broadcast live from Furniture City in Christiansburg. Wednesday, they are live at the New River Valley Mall, where they'll announce the winner of two free airline tickets and $500 cash. Listeners may register at remote broadcasts.

"Armchair Quarterback": Today, 9 to 10 a.m., on Super 710, WFNR (710 AM). Levi Garrett moderates as a panel of pundits tackles listeners' questions and comments on area and regional sports.

Virginia Tech Basketball: Today, the Hokies meet the Mountaineers of West Virginia University at WVU. Air time is 6:30 p.m. Monday, the Hokies visit East Tennessee State. Air time is 7 p.m. Bill Roth calls the games. "On the Bench with Coach Ron Bradley": Radford University's basketball preview show airs on game days at 9:50 a.m. and 5:50 p.m. on WPSK (107.1 FM).

Washington Redskins Football: Sunday, the 'Skins meet Tampa Bay at home in R.F.K. Stadium. Air time is 12:45 p.m. on WFNR (710 AM).
