In a note with the donation, Harrison wrote, "Katie Schweitzer is my student and only a week ago, her 21/2-year-old sister, Kara, was diagnosed with leukemia. All the children wanted to do something special, so this is our way of saying that we care."
"My teen-age daughter also has leukemia," she continued. "Therefore, I know the struggles they will face and my heart goes out to them."
