TECH'S BROWN PROBABLE FOR GATOR BOWL

Virginia Tech finished its on-campus workouts for the Dec. 30 Gator Bowl game Wednesday, and All-Big East linebacker Ken Brown missed practice as he continues to nurse a hamstring pull in his right leg.

Brown reinjured the hamstring Saturday, when the Hokies returned to workouts after semester exams. He originally pulled the muscle in the Nov. 19 loss to Virginia.

Tech coach Frank Beamer said Brown is ``probable'' for the Gator Bowl against Tennessee. The Hokies broke for the Christmas holiday after the morning practice and will return to campus Dec. 25 for their flight the next morning to Florida.

Beamer said Brown hopes to practice Monday when the Hokies resume bowl preparations in Jacksonville, Fla.
