Because of a reporter's error, a story Tuesday reported incorrectly that Gov. George Allen spared Poplar Forest, Thomas Jefferson's home in Bedford County, from cuts that affected other historical sites and museums. Allen has recommended a 50 percent cut next year in the state's $500,000 allotment for Poplar Forest.
\ The caption beneath a photo on Tuesday's Business page was unclear. Bill Johnson is plant manager of Vitramon Inc.'s operations in Roanoke.
