WORKERS GIVE BOSS HIS HOLIDAY WISH

The employees of M&M Brokerage Co. wanted to give the company's president exactly what he requested for Christmas, so they collected donations for the Good Neighbors Fund from all 31 employees.

LaDona Green, manager of the Roanoke office, said the company president, Glen Combs, suggested that the employees donate the money they would have spent on him to the fund. Green said everyone was receptive to the idea, and the result was full participation, including that of employees from the company's branch office in West Virginia.

The gift was given in honor of Combs and the company's founder, Sam McNeil.

"We thought it was a great idea," Green said, "because we all have plenty and would like to share."
