CREASY, Walter M. 75, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 1994. Mr. Creasy was a veteran of World War II and a retired salesman with Kraft General Foods. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Williamson Road Lions Club. Surviving are his wife, Annie M. Creasy; children, Nettie Ann C. Francis and husband, Michael, Walter M. Creasy Jr., all of Roanoke, Dinah C. Emerson and husband, Spencer, Richmond; grandchild, Dana L. Gibson II, Roanoke; sisters, Virginia Creasy, Roanoke, Mary Candler, Greensboro; a number of nieces, including Sandra Craft, Roanoke, Patsy Smiley, Staunton, Barbara Holdren and husband, Bee Bee, Lynchburg, Margaret Milliner, Sterling; special aunt, Aretta Ruth Hubbard, Roanoke; brother-in-law, Chester W. Hubbard, Roanoke; sister-in-law, Ruth Creasy, Roanoke; and Mr. Creasy's dog, ""Monica"". In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Grace United Methodist Church or the Williamson Road Lions Club. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Oakey's North Chapel by the Rev. Emory N. Tarpley Sr. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. CUNDIFF, Johnny Buck Jr., 53, of Wirtz, died suddenly Thursday morning, December 22, 1994. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Buck Cundiff Sr. and has been in the trucking business for 35 years. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth ``Libby"" Cundiff; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandi and Fred Heatwole, Rocky Mount; one son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Wanda Cundiff, Boones Mill; five grandchildren, Jessica and Kristen Russell, Beth Ann and Trey Heatwole, Jeremy Cundiff; his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Cundiff, Rocky Mount; two sisters, Shirley Wray, Wirtz, Nancy Veivell, Dayton, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Penny Cundiff, Boones Mill; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Robert Miller and the Rev. Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. CURTIS, James W., (``Mouse""), of Roanoke, died Wednesday, December 21, 1994 in a local hospital. He was the son of the late Thomas E. and Mary G. Curtis. He was a retired school teacher and a veteran of World War II. Survivors are two sisters, Mary Curtis Steptoe and Bernice Curtis Moore, both of Roanoke; wife, Georgia R. Curtis, Blue Ridge; niece, Bernice (Donald) Edwards, St. Louis, Mo.; nephew, Hersey T. Steptoe Jr., Chicago, Ill.; grand-niece, Dawn Marie Edwards, St. Louis, Mo.; two cousins, Harry Cecil Curtis Jr. and Marshall W. Curtis, both of Roanoke; brother-in-law, Guy Ragsdale, Blue Ridge; devoted friend, David Jones, Salem; and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at Hamlar-Curtis Chapel, with the Rev. U. N. Broady officiating and burial in Williams Memorial Park. DAVIS, Odell Horne 84, of 5485 Davis Road, Roanoke, passed from this life into Heaven, Thursday, December 22, 1994, at 5:30 a.m. She was a member of Glade Creek Lutheran Church and was a charter member of The Bonsack Garden Club. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Lee Davis Hawkins. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jesse Paul Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Don Duncan, Troutville; a daughter, Barbara Peyton, Roanoke; grandsons, Keith and David Hawkins, Texas, Mark (Janet) Coleman, Richmond, Michael Coleman, Roanoke; granddaughters, Beth Hawkins, Texas, Mindy Duncan, Moneta; great-grandchildren, Amie Coley, Roanoke, Jessica Coleman, Richmond, Paul and Lauren Hawkins, Texas; sister-in-law, Virginia Davis, Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews and many faithful friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Robert J. Maier officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. FROST, Eugene Hopkins, 71, of Rt. 2, Galax, died Wednesday, December 21, 1994. Mr. Frost was born in Carroll County on May 27, 1923, to Zelmer Cinder Frost, Sr., and Celia Elizabeth Frost. He was preceded in death by his wife, June C. Frost. Mr. Frost is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and James Quesinberry, Hillsville, Gena and Gale Rippey, Galax; two grandchildren, Teri Quesinberry and Georgia Bryant, both of Hillsville; two great-grandchildren, Alex Whalen, Roanoke, Holly Bryant, Hillsville; four sisters, Iretta Thompson and Mae Lineberry, both of Galax, Gay Jones, Lowgap, N.C., Helen Winton, Houston, Texas; three brothers, Heath Frost and Z.C. Frost, Jr., both of Galax, R.C. Brewer, Garden City, Mich. Funeral services will be Friday, at 2 p.m. in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Willard Richardson and the Rev. GILLETTE, Frances Ayers, 66, of Franklin, Va. died Wednesday, December 21, 1994. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Jimmy Rose; daughter, Patricia Hobbs; two granddaughters, Kacie and Holly Hobbs; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Claude and Bernice Ayers, of Largo, Fla., J. HATLEY, Agnes Lodene, 68, of Radford, died Wednesday, December 21, 1994, at the Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. Born July 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George E. Ollis and Ortha Stanley Ollis. She was active in the First Baptist Church and in the community. She was employed as an accountant at the W. R. A. D. Radio Station in Radford. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Raymond L. Hatley of Radford; two daughters, Ann Renee' Hatley of Roanoke, and Rhonda Rhea Hatley of Atlanta, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 24, 1994, 11 a.m. from the First Baptist Church in Radford with the Rev. Joe Burton officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, D ecember 27, 1994, at 11 a.m. in Marion, Ill. at the Wilson Funeral Home. KELLEY, Benjamin Jr., (``Ben''), 70, of Wytheville died Wednesday, December 21, 1994, in the Lewis Gale Hospital Salem, Va. He was retired from the Wythe County School System and was a member of the Wytheville Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and Deacon. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph C. ``Joe'' and Alice Kelley of Wytheville; two nieces, Ann Holler, Rebecca Lowry; nephew, Joseph C. Kelley Jr.; special friend, Al Tuck of Wytheville; several great- nieces and great-nephew also survive. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 24, 1994, 11 a.m. in the Wytheville Presbyterian Church conducted by The Rev. Dr. Michael Wingard and The Rev. Dr. Thomas Sproule. The Committal service will be private at the Draper Valley Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Wytheville Presbyterian Church cemetery. MARTIN, Pansy Burdette, (``Patsy''), 88, of Blacksburg, died Wednesday, December 21, 1994, in the National Health Care Center, Greer, S.C. Mrs. Martin was born in Simpsonville, S.C., on September 6, 1906, she was a daughter of the late James Coin and Carrie Templeton Burdette. Mrs. Martin moved to Blacksburg in 1935, where she with he sister operated a beauty salon for many years. She was the widow of Stanley Edward Martin. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Emma B. and Julian Henderson, Blacksburg; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 24, 1994, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Shroeder officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. SIMPSON, David Grisby, (``Granddaddy''), 79, of Buena Vista, died Wednesday, December 21, 1994, in a Lexington Hosptial. He was born in Buena Vista, Va. June 22, 1915, the son of the late Henry and Rosa Ayers Simpson. He was retired from Georgia-Bonded Fibers, Inc. He is survived by two daughters, Shirley S. Brown, Jacksonville, Fla., Brenda Louise S. Ramsey, Buena Vista; two sons, James R. Simpson and Gilford L. Simpson both of Buena Vista; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lawhorn and a daughter, Rosie S. Floyd. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lomax Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Dean Staton and Mr. Larry Coleman. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. WADE, Sam Willie, 79, of Rt. 2 Rocky Mount, died Thursday, December 22, 1994. He is survived by three granddaughters, Miss Shelia Wade, Miss Gladys Wade, both of Oak Level, Va., Mrs. Tina Mackenhimer of North Carolina; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Essie Patterson, Mrs. Bessie Wade, both of Rocky Mount, Mrs. Bertha Williamson, Brooklyn, N.Y.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
