2 FIREFIGHTERS FACE ARSON CHARGES

Two Shenandoah County firefighters have been charged with setting two separate fires last year.

Carl E. Clanton II, 22, and Leonard L. Funkhouser, 31, were arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of arson, Fire Marshal Larry Gochenour said.

The men are accused of setting a fire that destroyed an unoccupied house in January 1993 and another that burned down a storage building in October 1993, Gochenour said.
