AFTER LINE-UP CHANGE-UP, VOLUNTEERS REST ON THEIR DEFENSE

It was the first weekend of October. It was homecoming. Tennessee's football season was anything but bowl-bound. The Volunteers were 1-3, had two Southeastern Conference losses, hadn't played Alabama yet and were preparing for 17th-ranked Washington State's visit to Neyland Stadium.

"We needed a change," said linebacker Scott Galyon.
