ROANOKE REGIONAL ECONOMIC INDICATORS

The Consumer Price Index stood at 149.7 points at the end of November, compared with 149.5 in October and 145.8 a year ago.

That means a collection of goods and services that cost $145.80 a year ago carried a price tag of $149.70 at the end of last month.

The index uses an average for 1982 through 1984 as a base of 100. The Bureau of Labor Statistics said it would stand at 448.6 or $448.60 if it were still based on 1967.

The Consumer Price Index rose 0.3 percent for the month. Inflation is running at an annualized average of 2.7 percent for the year to date.
