ADAMS, Audrey Wirt, 83, of Salem, died Tuesday, December 27, 1994. Arrangements by Lotz Salem Chapel.

ALLEN, Ruth Jones, 81, of Warm Hearth Village in Blacksburg, died Monday, December 26, 1994, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Born June 20, 1013, she was the daughter of the late William Elbert Jones and Willie Mae Stoner Jones. She was a member of Fairlawn Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy S. and Ellen C. Allen of Yorktown, Va.; one daughter and son-in-law, Patsy A. and Paul J. Weeks of Radford; one sister, Lillian Jackson of Huntington, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Tuesday, December 27, 1994, at 4 p.m. from the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church in Radford with Dr. William H. Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service in the church. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 1994, at 1 p.m. from the Woodmere Cemetery in Huntington, W.Va. with Dr. William H. Jackson officiating. BROWNING, Shiraine Montgomery, 32, of 4206 Amelia Drive, Fredericksburg, died Monday, December 26, 1994, at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington, D.C. She was born on August 4, 1962, in Lynchburg, and was a daughter of Robert E. Montgomery and Shirley Jenning Montgomery, Evington. She was a guidance counsellor in the Spotsylvania School system, and was a member of Spotswood Baptist Church, Fredericksburg. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Gregory Allen Browning; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Montgomery, Hillsville, and Mrs. Mary Lovelace, Collinsville. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Monta Vista Memory Gardens, Galax, by the Rev. Jim Stone of Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Duiguid Waterlick Chapel. COLEMAN, Stella B., 90, of Pulaski, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 27, 1994. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Pulaski, and a charter member of the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Women. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Lucille Burse-Franklin, of North Carolina; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jenell and Nelson Walters, Roanoke, Shirley and Jim Decker, Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. James E. William officiating. Burial will follow at the Blue Springs Cemetery, Camp, Va. DUBB, Mary Georgia, 79, of Buena Vista, died Saturday, December 24, 1994, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Buena Vista, June 23, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Truslow. She was a member of 29th St. Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Duff and two children, Christine Elizabeth Ramsey and Lewis Randolph Duff. She is survived by two daughters, Ila Jean Wade, Buena Vista and Ruth Geneva MacDonald Denver, Colo.; a son, James Halbert Duff, Waynesboro; a brother, Nookie Truslow, Buena Vista; 16 grandchildren;19 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren. DUNN, Noreen Hawkins, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, December 27, 1994. Mrs. Dunn was the widow of Thomas Warren Dunn, and a member of Belmont United Methodist Church. Before retiring in 1970, she was secretary to Miss Nell D. Walters, principal at both Belmont and Wasena Elementary Schools. She is survived by a niece, Helen H. Grover, Abingdon; a grandnephew, Randall Adams, Gulfport, Miss.; a grandniece, Donna Adams Stout, Gulfport, Miss. A devoted cousin, William D. Duff, Roanoke and her husbands family, Angus O. and Pauleda H. Dunn, Staunton, Oneida D. and Hansel Banks, Meadows of Dan, Ruth D. and Moir Holt, Stuart, Geneva D. FLINT, Curtis Odell, 78, of Lexington, formerly of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, December 27, 1994. He was born in Buena Vista, April 23, 1916, and was the son of the late James Robert and Bessie Lilly Flint. He was retired from Burlington Industries and was a member and former deacon of The Buena Vista Presbyterian Church. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 126, and a retired member of the Buena Vista Fire Department. Surviving are wife, Sally Smith Flint, Lexington; daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Bob Garrison, Lexington, two grandchildren, Rob Garrison and Jennifer G. Layne, Lexington; two brothers, Ralph J. FLOYD, Albert Wilton, 70, of Lexington, died Tuesday, December 27, 1994 in Stonewall Jackson Extended Care Facility. Born March 14, 1924 in Amherst County, he was the son of the late Zander Ray Floyd and Julia Belle Lawhorn Floyd. He was a retired carpenter from Washington & Lee University. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lucille Carter Floyd, Lexington; two daughters, Linda F. Johnson, Vesuvius and Ann F. Stearns, Afton; three sons, Roy Lee Floyd and Robert W. Floyd, both of Lexington, A. Wesley Floyd, Vienna; a sister, Delilah F. Reley, Fairfield; a brother, Kenneth Preston Floyd, Rockbridge Baths; and four grandchildren. GINDER, Eleanor Conner, 56, of 1316 State St., San Juan, Texas, died Tuesday, December 20, 1994 in Rio Grande City, Tx. She graduated from Check High School, Check, Va. in 1956, was a member of Brethren in Christ Church, attended Messiah College, Grantham, Pa., graduated from Goshen College, Goshen, Ind. and she taught home economics at Manheim Central High School, Manheim, Pa. With her husband, she served as a missionary in Africa from 1962 - 1974, during which time she taught homemaking to your women, served as hostess, pastor's wife and parent in Youngways Hostel for missionary children. Since 1974, she was a pastor's wife and homemaker at Redland Valley Brethren in Christ Church, Yorkhaven, Pa. and teacher-pastor's wife in Petersburg, W. Va. More recently, she had been activity director at a nursing home in San Juan, Tx. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Conner. Surviving is her husband, Carl V. Ginder; sons, Bevin, Lindale, Texas, Barry and wife Cathy, Yorkhaven, Pa., Brian and wife, Shanna, Mission, Texas; one granddaughter; brothers, Clyde Conner, Riner, Va., Doug Conner and Joe Conner, both of Salem, VA.; sisters, Ava Ebersole, Mechanicsburg, Pa., Ester Kiser, Salem, Va., Wanda Minnick, Harrisburg, Pa.; also surviving are her parents, Ruth Conner of Salem, Va. and Raymond Conner of Roanoke, Va. GUILLIAMS, James Billy, 61, of Callaway, died Saturday, December 24, 1994, at Central Training School, Lynchburg. Born February 4, 19933, he was the son of the late Andrew and Ibra Peters Guilliams. HOOPER, Geraline Pannell, 64, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, December 24, 1994, at the Roanoke Memorial Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late James and Edna Pannell, a supervisor in the linen room at Community Hospital of the Roanoke Valley and was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmo Brown, Thomas Pannell and Linwood Pannell. Survivors include a daughter, Edna Staples; three sons, William (Boo-Boo) and Mary Pannell, Jerry and Darlene Pannell, all of Roanoke, David Ray Pannell, Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Stella Rhodes and Della Millner, both of Roanoke; two brothers, Frank Pannell, Roanoke and James and Sharon Pannell, Detroit, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends. HUGHES, Harry Stanley Jr.,(``H.S""), 61, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, December 27, 1994 at Radford Community Hospital. Mr. Hughes was born in Montgomery County on December 27, 1933. He was a retired employee of the Mongtomery County School Board. Preceding him in death was his father, Harry Stanley Hughes Sr. Survivors include a son, Todd Hughes; his mother, Mrs. Edith P. Hughes; one sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Frank (Boyd) Fisher, all of Blacksburg; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Freddie and Gladys Hughes, John and Cathy Hughes, all of Blacksburg, Tommy and Rita Hughes, Christiansburg; several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. HURDLE, Edith Hubbard, of Alexandria, died of cardiac arrest on Sunday, December 25, 1994, at her residence. Mrs. Hurdle was a native of Roanoke, attended Hollins College in Roanoke and was a graduate of Converse College in Spartanburg, S.C. She was a teacher in Roanoke and for a number of years at Belle View Elementary School in Fairfax County. She had been an active member of the Belle Haven Womens Club and Garden Club, Alexandria, and for many years she had been an active member of the Old Presbyterian Meeting House in Alexandria. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Burton G. Hurdle; two sons, Burton Jr. of Chester and Allen of Richmond; her sister, Mary Ann Dickenson; three grandchildren, Burton Hurdle III, Alison L. Hurdle and Ian Allen Hubbard Hurdle. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 1994 at 11 a.m. at the Old Presbyterian Meeting House, 321 S. Fairfax St., Alexandria, Va. LARCH, William Edward, 84, of Fayetteville, N.C. passed away on Monday, December 26, 1994 in a Fayetteville Care Center. He was born in Gilliam County, Oregon, a son of the late Jacob Larch and Alice Samons Larch. He was a retired Orchardist and a member of the I. O. O. F. Odd Fellow Lodge of Odell, Oregon. He is survived by his wife, Berta Mae Martin Larch of Fayetteville, a son, Richard H. Larch of Hood River, Oregon, a special grandson and his wife, Craig and Bonnie Cummings, Fayetteville; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. LeGAULT, Robert J. 59, of Hardy, died Monday, December 26, 1994. He was a native of Roanoke, a Naval Veteran and retired from the General Electric Company, Salem. Surviving are his wife, Doris D. LeGault; sons, R. Joseph LeGault Jr., Richmond, David N. LeGault, Roanoke; mother, Alice C. LeGault, Hardy; is also survived by a large and loving family. LIGHT, Roy L., 52, of Knob Lick, Mo., formerly of Roanoke, passed away December 24, 1994, at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was born on June 10, 1942, and was the son of the late Henry and Beulah Russell Light. He was also preceded in death by one stepson, Dennis Wells. Mr. Light served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and had been employed by the Brown and Root Company as an electrician. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Lanham; two sons, Christopher Light and Bradley Light, both of Potosi, Mo.; two stepsons, David Wells, Knob Lick, Mo. and Terry Wells, Farmington, Mo.; one daughter, Danielle Light, Potosi, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Janie (Mrs. Bill) Sales, Knob Lick, Mo.; one brother, Algie Light, Callaway; one sister, Merita (Mrs. Jim) Greer, Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. LYNN, Virgie Priscella, 95, of Buena Vista, died Monday, December 26, 1994, in Shenandoah Valley Health Care Center. Born September 11, 1899, in Augusta County, she was the daughter of the late Arizona Frances Humphries. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Otha H. Secrist and Charlie Lynn; a daughter, Edna Link; a grandson and a great-grandson. Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Mutispaugh and Lucille Sanderson, both of Buena Vista; two sisters, Clara Tomlinson, Buena Vista and Martha Montgomery, Lexington; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. MCBROOM, John H., 77, of Naples, died Friday, December 23, 1994. Mr. McBroom had been a resident of Naples since 1974 coming from Roanoke, Va. Harry was a former associate with Fowlkes & Kefauver Real Estate Company in Roanoke. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Hale of Roanoke, Va. and a brother, William McBroom of Roanoke, Va. McCLUNG, James Thomas, 41, of Fincastle, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, December 27, 1994. Jim was a 1971 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School. He held a BA from Roanoke College, a Masters Degree from Georgetown University and Masters Degree from the American University in Washington, D.C. Jim was a former employee of the Naval Fleet Reserve in Alexandria, Va. where he was the editor of the Naval Affairs Magazine. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard H. McClung and nephews, Brandon and Dustin McClung. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte C. McClung of Troutville; his maternal grandparents, Earl G. and Annie Cahoon of Fincastle; one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and John Oedel of Salem; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Paige McClung of Daleville; two nephews, Steve Poole and Neil McClung; one niece, Lauren McClung; a special aunt, Clara ``Nip"" Conner of Fincastle; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. WEBSTER, Donald Ray, ``Donnie"", 40, of Bedford, died Monday, December 26, 1994, in the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on February 15, 1954, a son of Frank Lowell Webster and Myrtle New Webster of Bedford. He was an employee of Rubatex Corporation and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Alicia M. Webster and Jessica R.
